The Experience Sampling Method Item Repository was launched in 2019. This ongoing three-phase project is building an open bank of experience sampling method (ESM) items for researchers to search and use in their own studies (Phase I). In Phase II of the project, we are developing a quality assessment tool for ESM items, which we will then use to conduct an initial quality assessment of items within the repository, along with content analyses. Phase III of the project will involve conducting psychometric evaluation of ESM item within the repository, and also facilitating other researchers to psychometrically validate ESM items. The ESM Item Repository recently received a Commendation from the Society for the Improvement of Psychological Science (SIPS). To contribute to the ESM Item Repository visit its OSF page.
